About Us

On September 29th, 2022, our founder Ben, an ABYC-certified marine electrician, was tasked with installing new LED down lighting on a 42-foot boat that lacked functioning interior lights. Ben completed the installation around 7 PM and tested the lights to ensure they were working properly. The gentle glow emanating from the main cabin transformed the previously dim boat interior into a warm and welcoming space. As Ben appreciated the inviting ambiance created by the lights, he envisioned the various ways in which the cabin could be enjoyed, whether it be reading a book or engaging in board games with family. Ben recognized that marine LED lighting not only illuminated the area but also enhanced the overall experience of spending time on the boat. Since that evening, Ben's enthusiasm for marine LED lighting has continued to grow, leading to the creation of Nautical Lumens.
